We will update this post with the words written by Michael about his plans prior to his death due to constructive manslaughter.

Firstly, I NEVER said that I hate North America.


And secondly, . . . IF I left (that is to say,
if I left the forum), THEN you would have to
find someone else to bash with such regularity
and frequency.

BULLYRAGGING is NOT my favourite sport,
. . . NOR any kind of "sport" at all in
my book.


My style of posting has NOTHING whatsoever
to do with such things.


The issues are (1) TECHNICAL, and (2) related
to INTERPERSONAL STYLE.


NEITHER of which I would attempt to explain
-- much less justify -- to current audiences
which specialise in ATTACK, . . . regardless
of content.


So suffice to say :


Being a militant individualist, . . . I would
NOT alter ONE (1) hair of my head in
order to please my detractors.

JB, much of the rhetoric round here has all
the creativity of kindergarten kids, . . .
running amuck at recess, . . . yelling the
so-called "F-Word" and any other insults they
may have overheard.


Of course, NOT all insults travel well. And NOT
all translate from one culture to another.


Could give examples, . . . especially inasmuch
as a certain international journal is devoted
to that subject.


But to the extent that writing is tailored to
a particular audience, I'll pass at present on
that opportunity.


I have NO experience with kindergarten
kids.


NOR with their adult equivalent.

Note for JB and JC :


Insulting other people's avatars -- which,
after all, are a personal thing -- says much
about the SOURCE of the insults.


And such insults always beg the question :


Is THAT the BEST you can do . . . ? ? ?


Such things -- repeated like a record stuck
in the insult grove -- are only a form of
BULLYRAGGING, . . . intended to provoke a
reaction on the part of the targeted victim.

JC, . . . I KNOW very well that you
haven't.


Wish I could say the same about ALL
who post at Alien-Earth.


Having seen some small measure of the
world in my time, there are very FEW
insults I haven't encountered before.
(NOT just talking about avatars either.)


The point / problem, in reality, is
CHILDISH behaviour.


Behaviours which can be overlooked in a
kindergarten kid are a bit harder to
excuse in an adult.


NOT that I mind calling a spade a spade. NOR
even a manure shovel.


But the childish rhetoric does wear thin
. . . especially when, presumably, we are
dealing with adults.

JB, NOT to worry. NOT to worry in the
least.


You -- like your avatar -- are much too
loving and much too lovable to insult
anyone.


As far as I can see, JB, you don't have
a malicious bone in your body.


Wish more people could follow your example.


I like your avatar too; . . . but then I've
always been more of an "animal person" than
a "people person;" . . . and I suspect I
always will be.

Once when I was doing a study of what are termed �Health Care Delivery Systems� in a certain region of a southeastern State, . . . my researches were in part conducted at a relatively small hospital, which served various sections of FIVE (5) counties within the defined region.

A nurse was giving me the guided tour, during which she referred to a newly-admitted patient whose symptoms included TACHYCARDIA.


Upon uttering the word �Tachycardia,� . . . the nurse asked :

�Do you know what that is ?�


�Well,� I replied, �I would certainly hope so.�


Being, however, somewhat surprised that she would ask me such a question, I added :

�Tell me, . . . do YOU know what �CRETINISM� is ?�



Immediately thereafter, . . . I laughed, . . . thinking that the exchange of questions was quite humourous.


The nurse, in contrast, did NOT laugh.


At that moment, I recognised an obvious fact :

My own sense of humour did NOT seem to translate well amongst certain of the Statesiders.
